1970s CHRISTIAN DIOR by EARLY OPTYL were so Avant-Garde / May 31, 2011 by solakzade

In 1964, an Austrian company, Carrera, succeeded in developing a new plastic material, named OPTYL and received a patent. OPTYL is 20% lighter than ACETATE, which is still predominant in glasses industry and can keep luster for several decades. In the early 1970s, the 1st brand that ordered CARRERA to use OPTYL to make their sunglasses was Christian Dior. In the first few years the designs were very avant-garde and big size. Then the designs got more "acceptable". In 1976, the company OPTYL was launched. And after the few years, DUNHILL, PLAYBOY and many other brands made their sunglasses at OPTYL factories.

So the avant-garde designs in the first few years of 1970s Dior by Early OPTYL are rare and collectible now. Recently we got 3 models of them: 2029, D02 and D09.

1964年にカレラ社はオプチルという新素材の開発に成功し、特許を取得します。オプチルは熱硬化処理を施した樹脂系の素材で、アセテートよりも20％軽く、形状記憶力が高いのが特徴でした。このオプチル素材は何十年経っても光沢を失わずに保っているのもアセテートとは異なるところです。

1970年代の初め、オプチルが初めてOEM形式で製造を担当したのがクリスチャンディオールのサングラスでした。オプチル初期のこのほんの2、3年間の間だけ、非常に奇抜な大振りのデザインが次々とリリースされました。その後はデザインも落ち着いてきます。

その結果、今となってはこの2、3年の非常に奇抜な時期のディオールはレア度が高く、コレクタブルな存在です。

If you are a collector of vintage sunglasses, you should know that the most famous and collectible sunglasses released in the 1970s is the FUTURA series by SILHOUETTE, Austria. We recently got 3 pairs of the FUTURA of SILHOUETTE: MOD 562, 563 and 564.

ビンテージサングラスのコレクターなら誰もが知っている憧れのモデル。1970年代に作られた最も有名でコレクタブルなサングラス。シルエットのFUTURA（フューチュラ）シリーズ。そのFUTURAの562、563、564が入荷です。

Bana Launched Her Own Accessories Brand! The name is BANAGE! / May 28, 2011 by solakzade

Today I would like to introduce you a new accessory brand (not vintage). Bana Itahashi, who was a member of SOLAKZADE, finally launched her own accessory brand. The name is BANAGE. Each piece is hand made by herself, Bana Itahashi. The material she loves to use is heavy metals like Brass and Silver 950. She actually takes time to make each piece with feelings. Her personality naturally reflects on her works, I feel. Wild and delicate, soulful and cool. Truly original accessory brand with much humor, which never existed before.

At the time she doesnt work at SOLAKZADE. She worked for SOLAKZADE for about a year. But I knew she is truly warm person. She loved to "give something" to others. Not only when she made her works, she was regularly wrapped up doing something, imagining the person who would receive it. The same when she packed the item SOLAKZADE's customer ordered. We would like to keep supporting her honest and sincere brand to the best of our poor ability. she has been always living life to the extreme. Anyway you can enjoy this new website. You can something just purely beautiful at the same time.

2009年から2010年までソラックザーデの一員だった板橋バナがついに自身のアクセサリーブランドを立ち上げましたので、ここでご紹介させて頂きます。

BANAGEというブランド名で、全て１つ１つ1本の真鍮棒、真鍮線、シルバー950の棒などの重みあるメタルから様々な工程をほどこし、丁寧に作品をつくりあげています。本当にひとつひとつ、時間をかけて気持ちを込めて手で制作しています。彼女のエクストリームな個性がそのまま作品に投影されていて、大胆でありながら繊細で、ユーモアある独創的なアイデア、どこから見てもこれまでに存在しなかった新たなアクセサリーブランドの誕生です。特に真鍮で作られたアクセサリーは神々しくて素晴らしい仕上がりです。

彼女がソラックザーデにいたのは1年ほどの間でしたが、普段から他の人に何かをしてあげるのが大好きな、すごく大阪人らしい、愛情深い温かい人間です。彼女が作品を作っていたとき、いやそれだけでなく普段のちょっとしたときにちょっとしたサプライズプレゼントを作っていたとき、そして、ソラックザーデのお客さまに届ける商品を包んでいたとき、それを受け取る人のことをいつもイメージしながら、夢中で一生懸命だった顔が浮かびます。誰よりも全力で生きている誠実で温かいブランドを、ソラックザーデは微力ながら精一杯サポートさせて頂きたいと思っています。
